  Building Community

Connecting the World Through MusicBlue Sky's newest project, Connecting the World Through Music (CTWTM) is a public education initiative designed to produce a series of short music documentaries focusing on the role of music in building community, and using music education as a tool for progressive social change, locally and internationally.

Music education, collaboration, and cultural exchange have alway been at the centre of Blue Sky programming and in particular, the fundraising initiatves created by Playing for Change Saskatchewan over the past six years. The first two video projects are planned for public release in June.

  North Central Kids Music

Joelle Fuller and her guitar students from North Central Kids Music have been working away on a few new tunes in preparation for their big mainstage set at the Cathedral Village Arts Festival. For the second year in a row, Blue Sky Cultural Connections is partnering with the Festival to present an evening of eager and creative young talent, ready to find their voice and their power through music. Built around a theme of Paths to Reconciliation, this year's concert will be taking place in Holy Rosary Park on Friday, May 25, starting at 6 pm. It's in the Big Tent, and it's free.
